Johan Peter Hol

A versatile artist, who uses ceramics and also a variety of other materials to design his installations. He creates private, fantasy-like worlds. The masterpiece is his salon table type construction made of cardboard painted white, on which large dishes have been placed, along with larger than life fruit of glossy earthenware in a sober colour.Heavy work on apparently very light and fragile tables is a metaphor for the complexity of family and group ties and the position of the individual in the group.Cherishing a deeper yearning to be unified with the group but at the same time wishing to be distinctive.
