稲 葉 周 子 Inaba, Chikako 1974 born in Yokohama, Japan I am inspired by the unique lines and forms of leaves that nature has created. Curling and withering leaves symbolize for me both the vitality and the transience of life. Also, the leaves look as though they could have their own feelings or thoughts. My vessels hold physical materials like plants and water as well as emotions, thoughts, and diversity. I believe that the color white best accentuates the lines and forms that are created by the grooved linear patternings. I want to create an object that embodies both grace and strength, that simultaneously appears very fragile yet exhibits vitality.
