Hans van der Weijden & Heide Nonnenmacher; duo expo at Terra Delft: 08/12/2018 – 05/01/2019
In the work of Nonnenmacher, the basic form is classic – a bowl. This bowl space is filled with delicate flower structures, where the white porcelain sets the tone. From the bowl arose chalices and other shapes from the botanical garden. Then she developed elements from the underwater world, such as corals and sponges. But also the microscopically observable single-celled grains and radiolaria forms a starting point of her delicate porcelain forms. The stable bowl structure protects the delicate, sensitive content. She uses more color in her wallpieces. Each work is unique.
