"In the monumental S.O.N. / Save Our Nature, the artist's concern for nature and the climate is central. On the head of Jesus is the original crown of thorns before and during his crucifixion, which she replaced with a crown of branches with budding leaves. We see here another version where the suffering of Jesus is replaced by the suffering of nature. Glaze drips from the petals over the head: nature weeps and bleeds. The look in the eyes of Jesus shows us his deep disappointment. We got so much good stuff but messed it up horribly."
