Wenna’s stay in Delft inspired her to work on a typical Dutch subject; a wall plate just for decoration. To realize this she cooperated with Olav Slingerland; a master in casting and techniques.
Olav Slingerland has been making molds of two square plaster plates. Wenna’s drawing is carved in a plaster mold, using a laser. The clay poured into this mold fills the lines, transferring the relief of the drawing onto the plate. Blue glaze ensures that the white relief is visible.
