Nesrin During's minimalist objects are executed in black or white. These objects are derivatives of bowl shapes, which lack functionality. Straight lines and right angles have been added to the mostly round basic shape.
Nesrin During is inspired by her immediate environment; the wind, the sea, the earth. She forms her works from stoneware clay, which are all different and unique. The artist from Turkey lives and works on Texel, where she shares the studio with her husband Stefan, a furniture maker.
